Will any phone that supports GSM Triband (900/1800,1900) work in NZ? I want to buy a phone that I know works on US, UK and European networks...

It will work here, providing the phone is not SIM locked. Note that not all Vodafone live! features may be supported.

Cheers! So what features are likely not to work? in my opinion, so long as you can browse the web , and send sms/mms it doesnt matter if you can not access the vodafone live portal :P

If the model is not available in New Zealand you'll be on your own to make sure the configuration is correct and correctly entered. MMS may be a problem. You can simply copy the configuration from other mobile phone but sometimes you'll need to contact Vodafone to let them know your phone is MMS capable since it seems by default you'll receive the link to the website for download, instead of receiving the MMS directly on the handset.
