Hi,
Friend recently upgraded to Sanyo 7400. Works fine for texts, voice calls and P2T but when he tries to use WAP it asks for a username and password.

We have tried, my normal xtra username, mobile@jamamobile, and we even just made one up!!! But no luck. Rang Telecom but they seemed none the wiser. I have others with the same phone and they have never had to enter this just to get onto wap.

I had a play with it and when i went to the browser it showed symbol that is was connecting then the login screen appeared. He has told me that when he has tried it he can get online but it only appears when he tries to download games.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

cheers

riahon, can you give this ago and let me know if it sorts things out?

1) Open the web browser on your phone and wait for it to connect (you'll see the little green and blue icons flashing at the top of the screen).

2) Once the green and blue icons stop flashing and fade out, you should see the last webpage you visited.

3) Ignore what you see on the page, but you should see an icon that looks like a piece of paper at the bottom right hand corner of your screen.

4) The navigation key on your phone is surrounded by four "soft-keys". Press the top right one, once.

5) You will see a browser menu. Select "0 More", and from the sub menu, select "1 Restart Browser"

Your phone should display the XMS Homepage after a few seconds.

Let me know how you go!

Sounds like it is only loading the corporate wap site. Ring 0800 DJUICE and tell them about your problem and they should fix it in about 30 min. Good luck

Thanks for replies.
I have tried to restart browser your way Felix and also through the settings as well but no joy.

I have been dealing with a couple of other guys so hopefully a resolution wont be too far away. Accessing the WAP seems fine but this login screen only appears when he tries to download games.... personally I think he is better without that access.

Ahh... so the problem is nothing to do with WAP? It's just games? Cool, I've been contacted by the other people you've been dealing with... I'll get this sorted ASAP...

Appreciate effort so far but problem still the same. He has rebooted the browser again but no different. Maybe your mates fix might take affect tomorrow. Will try again tomorrow.
