Related:  I upgraded to JoinMe B08 (from ZTE website) and now I can't update my calendar from Outlook (but contacts update fine) -- as soon as I touch calendar - phone memory, the phone reboots and loses contact with joinme.  BUT, another R6 is fine on calendar, so it isn't the joinme software.  The answer to both this and the previous problem might be to reset the phone memory -- but my question is, how to do this?  The Tcom and ZTE websites are no help at all, of course.

You cant seem to drag a file into a Windows 7 library. What I did was browsed manually through Users>Me>Pictures etc and then dragged it in.

Yes. There also seems to be some big limitations on getting things onto and off the external memory card -- I can only copy on single files, not directories, and the copy process is terminally slow. I overcame this by putting my memory card in a usb reader, loading it up, and then replacing it. Now, when I look at the TFlash under the phone's file manager, I see directories, and I can go into these and play music fine.

As to my outlook contacts problem, I gave up and returned the R6 whence I bought it, to be fixed. We will see.

Finally, I still think the R6 has a bunch of excellent features for the price -- clearly better than some at $599 ex Tcom. I am happy, 1 month in...

Relpying to myself: Loaner refused to update calendar (rebooted phone) after a few days; however, TCom replaced my phone as they determined it was faulty; it worked well for a couple of days, now it too reboots on downloading calendar from Outlook. I'm going to take it back again! My hope is that they will let me change it for a cheap Nokia.. Jeez. And I was happy for a while..

What is up with this software. Its nice being able to connect and add pictures and music, but why oh why does it need to download my messages, even after I've deleted them from the phone? surely it would realise I dont want 200+messages downloaded every day that i have already DELETED from the handset.

Is there some way to not download my messages every time i plug it into the computer?

Also, how does one reset this phone?

Tools - Settings - Disable auto download. Then you can synch whatever you want.

My bad, was the R100, not the R6

mdav056: ...the copy process is terminally slow.

Same here.  I'm copying music files on to a 4 GB card, which is progressing at a rate of 125 kbps.  At that rate, it will take about 70 hours to fill the card!  I don't have a card reader, and I don't particularly want to buy one just to copy files to the handset's card.

Has anyone managed to copy files at a faster rate using the JoinME software?  If so, how?
