I am looking to replace my mobile and want the following features;

XT network (preferably pre-paid as I spend most of me time at home from where I run a holiday accommodation so dont make a lot of mobile calls)
VoiP over WiFi (I have a WiFi covering the property)
and ideally something that can be used as a cordless phone so I dont have to carry round my 5.8Mz cordless as well as my mobile.
Does such a device exist? I realise the corless phone replacement is a big ask but thought I would see in anyone knew if there is a device that will do this or aniother way to do the same thing?

Most Nokia handsets that support WiFi support VoIP, handsets such as the E71 are great.

As for a cordless phone feature you're not going to get such a a feature but if youi're using VoIP over WiFi the mobile is automatically a "cordless phone" anyway assuming you're using VoIP for your phone system.

Yes I had been looking at the E71 and also the less expensive E63 and these might be the best solution. Our main phone line in is still via copper as I haven't been brave enough to to switch to VoIP as our only internet connection at the moment is via satellite.

What he said, but extend it to S60 phones from any manufacturer (thats what most Nokia's are, but there are also Samsung and Sony models out there), Windows Mobile phones, iPhone, and Android phones (and probably others like Blackberries, but I don't really know them well).

The cordless phone replacement thing is not available on any as far as I'm aware.

Any comments on sensitivity of the different models and makes? We have a weak signal on XT network in places and our Vphone signal is even worse here in Golden Bay.
When I do leave the property in winter I spend most of my time overseas so WiFi compatibility/ access is important too.

For Wifi they should all be essentially equivalent, the HTC HD2 has WiFi N though, so its a little more future proof in that regard. For network signal strength its hard to go past Nokia's.
