Hi
Has anyone ever used a mobile as a remote video surveillance device?
I want to use one for security at my holiday house in Spain.

Welcome to Geekzone... I think there are software titles for this (on Symbian?) but if you want to really use it for security, why not look for the Nokia seuciryt camera?

The device will activate on movement, and send a MMS or SMS to a predefined number. It will also send images on request, upon receiving a SMS triggering the camera.

It works on GSM networks...

Hi and thanks for the reply.
I will look for the Nokia device on their website.
I suppose it costs an arm and leg though:-)
I really do want it for security.....nothing naughty.....we have a house in Spain and it would be nice to just leave a mobile there on a charger so we can dial in and access the camera.
What is Symbian?

I think the camera is more suitable for what you need...

Symbian is an operating system for Smartphones, used in some Nokia models (such as the Nokia 6680).
