On Wednesday both Noel Leeming and Bond & Bond removed Tivo from their on-line websites. Apparently they are about to sell up all remaining stock. Does anyone know if there is to be another retailer stepping in, or will they (Tivo) be out of NZ altogether?

Telecom sell them. Tivo advertise on their website that b&b and nl sell them, so you should contact them why they are advertising that, iof they are no longer for sale there.

I have noticed that they are no longer selling the HNP which is strange and haven't been for a while, even though it says it is 'temporarily unavailable'. I have a friend who was trying to buy one s few weeks ago but can't at the moment.

I would doubt they woul dbe pulling out as they have all these tivos in NZ to service if something goes wrong with them, possibly for up to the next 5 years depending on the lifetime of these devices.

Hmmm. The Network package is now unavailable to be purchased online. I wonder what's going on?

Yes, I have come up against the same issue.  I purchased a Tivo via Westpac Hotpoints last week, and am waiting for the vouchers to turn up.  I've been looking at the Tivo web site and am getting a bit nervous about this sudden change.  I phoned Bond and Bond and they have them in stock, they just said they were not stocking them after they run out.

Now, the networking package is unavailable?  What's going on?

There isn't supposed to be a new Tivo out till the end of the US summer, so that's at least 4-5 months away.

You can buy the networking package - the last tivo email newsletter said it was a technical issue.

Noel Leeming still have plenty of them in stock, and they are back on the website.  I believe these are all sourced from Telecom who ordered a mountain of them to meet the demand at launch.

The current Australian model is the 1TB XL model, which will cost more.  I'm guessing we won't see that until the old stock is cleared out.

Good to know!  thanks :)

I'm not too fussed with the extra storage, since the current one supports adding extra storage, but good to know.
