Well my current Philips 40" 4k Monitor has served me well over the last 5 years, but the backlight has broken and now have a dark shadow over the top 25% of my screen.

Sooo.. upgrade time. I'm considering the newer 43" Philips 438P1/75 for around $800.... but, I'm also wondering if now is the time to upgrade to an OLED or QLED 4 TV instead.

I see many sales at the moment, with the likes of the LG OLED 48" A1 at approx $1799 and the OLED 48C1 at $2299, then there is the Samsung QN90 (Albeit 50")  also at $2299. Lastly the Panasonic JZ1000 48" OLED

Any thoughts on these and any one else also using a TV to edit Photos and video?

I use Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop - Also Powerdirect video editing.

I also use a monitor for FL Studio DAW (Music Software in my home studio) and connected to my work laptop during the day for Office365, etc.

Also of note, I have stargardts disease which is a macular disorder that impairs my detail vision.

Cheers!
