Recently purchased a home needing alot of work. I have insulated and replaced all the external walls. After my bathroom and kitchen are in I will need a gib stopper and plasterer for the new walls and the old walls that have lots of dents etc. Can anyone tell me what they think it will cost to have this done? The place
is an average size three bedroom

We've recently started renovating our property and had a similar predicament. I'd strongly suggest builderscrack.co.nz for doing some initial investigations - also good for getting some tradies through to quote the job. Also important to remember prices can fluctuate due to certain tradies having a gap in their calendar they need to fill, see a bigger opportunity, or if they are flat tack they'll add a premium for prioritising your job. I paid about $250 for my room but supplied all the coving, plaster and materials so was labour only. I have a fairly well connected family in the industry so wouldn't use this as a standard.

I think you will find that pricing will vary a lot. You are best to get quotes.

I paid $750 for a double room of average size to be plastered. This included inside the double wardrobe and the ceiling.

There are also different qualities of finishing. The higher quality finishes are more expensive. Whether you want it paint quality, or you will be papering over it.
