Hi guys

I've bought a Chiness brand booster pump and installed by myself last year, it worked fine and very useful.

Just over one year, it doesn't work any more.

Can someone give me some suggestion WHERE can I buy a quality one, like made in Germeny or USA.

Cheers.

Go for Grundfos, stay away from Onga. Personal experience and also recommendations from two different places. Mind you, you will pay over 10 times the price than one of those trademe pumps.

Both Plumbing world and Reece sell hot water circulating pumps that can be used as booster pumps if you add a separate flow switch. They are Smedegard brand which is made in Denmark, They are distributed in NZ by Wallace pumps. As for price $400 is cheap for 1 of them. Retail price at Reece is $642.74

I currently have 4 of them in use in my house. But im using them as circulating pumps. Mine were all bought for around $400 - $450 each.

[Edited to Add]

They must be installed with the motor shaft horizontal. This also applies to all pumps with water lubricated bearings unless the instructions say otherwise.
