Hi,

I need a small piece of solid brass about 15x40x50mm to reproduce a missing part on one of my plough planes. No one on trademe seems to have it and I'm not really into buying a 3m long flat bar from a commercial supplier. I'm sure someone must sell lathe/mill blanks or something.

I'm not really liking the idea of melting down scrap and making a cast.

Any idea's?

Jake

Try door knocking some machine shops, they keep most offcuts to scrap periodically so am sure they would be able to help
