We are in the process of building a new house, and deciding on the brand/model for kitchen appliances.

For range hood, we are deciding between Blanco RUL70X rangehood and also Ilve 70 cm concealed rangehood. Can't seem to find much reviews on the Blanco RUL70X. Ilve seems to be a good brand, but it is pricier and read mixed reviews in another forum.

On induction cooktop, read reviews on Electrolux 60cm (EHI645BA) and Whirlpool dualzone flexi cooktop (ACM828BA). Consumer has good reviews on Electrolux and an older model of whirlpool induction cooktop. Again, can't seem to find many user reviews on this two models.

Thanks in advance for any information or reviews on the above products.

I have the Blanco 70x rangehood. Its works fine and is good - we do a fair bit of asian style cooking (stirfrys, curries) along with tradtional fare like pastas, steak etc.\\

Cleanign is a bit fiddly but no different other internal rangehoods I have owned.

The motor is pretty grunty for an internal unit so there is noise associated at higher levels.

How long will your ducting be? Makes a dif to suction and noise.

I have the Electrolux EHI745BA (70cm) version. Recently upgraded from a 60cm Bosch ceramic cooktop.

Its awesome, went for the larger model as the induction cookware I have is quite large.

Cooking performance is great, i cant really say too much more since i haven't used any other induction cooktops :)

We have chosen a Schweigen UM1170-9SP Rangehood and a Bosch 90cm PIV975N17E Induction cooktop.

We have a 70cm Electrolux induction. It's great. Very fast, you don't set something going then go and do something. It will be boiling over when you come back.

I have the same cooktop. We finished building late last year so have been using it for 6 months now. Love it. Double check you have enough power coming into the house though.

Just make sure the range hood is quiet. It's a difficult engineering task to extract a lot of air and do it quietly.

We have a cheap rangehood and it's too noisy to actually use...

My parents moved house from one that they put a Westinghouse induction hob into, which they really liked to a house into which they put an F&P one which they love. It is so much faster than the Westinghouse one was.

Both 60cm.

Bosch is good, miele, electrolux, asko are all well known established brands I would look at. You also need to look at repairs, and which are likely to have parts in 5-10 years. Some of the lessor known brands where they sell very few, are likely going to struggle. I have just had big problem trying to get a part for a 5 year old appliance which is a less known brand, where they no longer import them, and I now wish I had purchased a well known brand for it.
