Hi, I am brand new to the GeekZone. If I have posted in the wrong place please move my question to the correct place. I am a non-geek, so do not understand much of the details provided on this site.

I am a woodturner and there is a video imaging system made in the USA for playing on a USA TV. My question is: will I be able to play the link to the USA tv even though I am recording the video in NZ and running it on the USA TV? This system is the only thing to be played on the TV. Could I run the link on a NZ TV?

Ok looking at that it seems to just be a cheap bullet cam in a bracket, with a composite SD video output.

From the US it would be NTSC, but any TV made this century should be fine with that, you will be recording it at 60FPS on whatever its connected to so if you want to mix the video in with something videoed at 50 then you will have conversion happening which can signifigantly slow the video rendering time.

TBH I would see if you can just buy the bracket from the US and then get a camera from aliexpress to fit into it. There are only a few sizes of those cameras, and there is little point shipping a bottom spec TV from the US to here, so that isnt really much use for you.

It looks like a basic camera that simply uses the composite input on the TV. Since it's obviously a US product the camera is very likely to be NTSC. A NTSC 480i 60Hz image will display fine on most NZ TV's as most will accept an NTSC input.

What are you planning to record the video on? You would need something that can accept NTSC inputs.

You could always ask them if they have both NTSC and PAL versions of the camera.
