hello,

Can anybody guide me on how to fix this issue?

While opening the garage door, it stuck halfway (after opening 15% portion) and lights starts blinking for 3 to 5 seconds.

If I try couple of times (sometimes may up to 7 or 8 times) then the door opens completely without an issue.

What could have gone wrong?

Its cold, the grease is thicker on everything to its hitting the torque limit for the motor.

Relube the track with the appropriate stuff and see how you get on.

Yup, exact same thing here. Lube it up. :)

The track itself doesn't need to be lubed as that will only attract gunk that inhibits the smooth motion of the rollers. Make sure the track is clean and lube the bearings in the rollers - hardware stores will sell spray cans of garage door lube.

I've had the problem you describe when I'd adjusted the travel or force dials too far. Have you altered those recently? Try searching for a manual related to your door.

If you are lubing, do use a silicon spray on all moving parts.  -  as advised during my last service from Dominator

Different lube for the tracks. Depends on if the door has rollers or is sliding in the track etc too.

Don't lube the tracks or the pole on sectional/tilt - it causes more problems than it solves.

Silicone lube is okay for the tracks on roller doors, otherwise don't use it - ignore what one person from Dominator says.

Use garage door lube as mentioned above, or CRC 66 (marine grade) for hinges / wheels on sectional doors, pivot points on arms on tilt doors.

There's no point conjecturing on what could be the issue with OP's door, but if it's so temperamental that it's throwing a fit part-way during opening, it could be any of several things that probably need someone who knows what they're doing to take a look.

You could just adjust the opening force limit (RTFM for instructions), but that might not be solving the issue.
