Can't access US content with NZ netflix account

So I signed up for a NZ netflix account this morning after having a US account for months. I thought why pay in USD when I can get the same thing in NZD at a fixed price? Well now it appears I can't access the same content. I assumed that with global mode that it wouldn't matter what account locale I had I could still access US content. I assumed wrong. Or at least my LG TV and tablet won't let me. I get a Message saying this content is not available in NZ. When I log in using my friends USA account it works fine. Anyone having the same issue?

TLdr: I can't watch house of cards season 3 anymore since changing to NZ account.

Try a free vpn like tunnel bear and see if that makes a difference.

Do the NZ ISPs with global mode have region switchers now? maybe you need to pick the region?

YES! You're right! I was just logging on to tell everyone that global mode now has a switch. Log into Slingshot or Orcon and choose your region. WOW. Thanks for informing me Slingshot.

Slingshot did an update on Facebook before saying what to do, if you are a Facebook user.

I just logged onto the Unotelly console and there was a link:

So I guess it works both ways. Maybe I should also signup for Netflix NZ and just keep my region US to ensure my monthly costs are not affected by the exchange rate.
