Hi,

Netflix is pretty much a no-go for me at the moment (thankfully I have Hulu), and if this cat-and-mouse game is going to continue wondering whether it's more trouble than it's worth.

Is anyone subscribed to Amazon? If so, have you had geolocation issues and how does the content compare to Netflix?

Blair

I've got an Amazon Prime sub. They geo-locate quite strictly.

Most people I know have given up trying to get around this stuff. They tell me there are other, faster ways to see the same stuff and at much better resolution.

Market fail, I suppose, when the vendors won't vend.

Thanks Linuxluver -geolocation per se isn't an issue, but are they cracking down in the same way Netflix is?

Happy to jump through some hoops, but don't have time to be jumping through new hoops every few weeks.

I use Amazon, an Amazon Prime subscription and have an Amazon Fire TV at home. Using with DNS4ME and works fine. You will probably need to load your Gift Card balance instead of having a credti card loaded in your account. They are more strict about credit card country than anything else.

Have no issues with Amazon Prime on a Fire TV, however a few months back they re-shuffled what they provide as part of the package, so now you need to either pay for some of the more recent seasons/episodes which previously were free/included.

The content I watch does tend to overlap a little with Netflix and HuluPlus, but I still find myself subscribing to all three.

I have amazon prime US and hulu only. Always find something to watch and the fire tv makes searching hulu by voice great, unlike their aweful user interface to find things.

Its been offering some other service with stuff as well in it lots in the search results, which I may look at getting as well if I run out of stuff to watch.
