It's timely for me too because after 5.5 years I'm ready to build another extreme end PC and X99 motherboards, DDR4 and Haswell-E will soon be here.  Don't expect lower prices, though.  I mean, you'll see substantially lower prices on EVERYTHING even after the delivery fee gets added but, unfortunately, not before taxes/duty.  The vast majority of kiwis want a nanny state so it's only right they should be taxed out the wazoo for it.  However, newegg does open up another channel for getting parts not available here which is why I mention it.

're nanny state.

Those who complain about nanny states have rarely lived in an alternative.

The nanny state also allows you the freedom to moan.

Having grown up under military dictatorship s, with death squads, no universal healthcare or education, people begging for food.

The money not paid directly in tax was paid to bribe poorly paid government officials, private security because police didn't turn up, and the heath+education of servants and their families.

Most NZ don't know how lucky they are.

A.

Hmmm...  fascinating.  So, the alternative to a government that plunders pockets and invites people to share the loot to make life easier for them at the expense of grown ups wanting to pay their own way in life is... dictatorship.  I was thinking of a government with reduced powers, not more.  Although, having come from a dictatorship, I can see why a nanny state appears almost completely benign by comparison.  From which dictatorship did you escape?  Communist or Islamic?

One fascist military though Catholic was the religion, 2nd was also military right wing but Muslim country. Third was your good old fashioned christian tribe supported by western power against another tribal group nominally Islamic.

Why was 15% on your computer parts was the thing that bothered who rather than the gst you pay on food, petrol car which is do much more....

A.

PS in two of the 3 government mentioned above, your published criticisms about money grubbing governments would have got you arrested.
