Bit OT: I ordered about NZD220 worth of stuff from Amazon around this time last month. Would any BF purchases attract duty, if they are less than NZD400?

IME you have to be very very unlucky for multiple purchases to be hit with duty. Its only people I know that have been dumb and had sellers split into 2 boxes and then go and send them on the same day that have been caught out.

I have only been caught when the dollar really tanked and I had no idea it was as bad as it was and something that I thought was going to be $380-390 came in over 400.

If they are from different places, you should be fine. If they are to different people, you should be fine. If they are to 3 different people at the same address on the same day from the same place, your milage may vary.

Thanks, that's useful info.

I am mainly following SlickDeals for any worthy deals. Looking to buy a Asus (Intel - 6th Gen) FHD, SSD Laptop. Dedicated GFX (940m or higher) would be nice, for USD350 or less.

Well considering that us 350 is about nz 500 at the moment, then yes you will get gst on that. It is not worth it on small amounts over as there is the BS biosecurity levy and all sorts of other stuff they add, if you are going to pay duty/gst do it on a decent sized order so that the fixed fees they add are spread over a decent amount of items.

Jaybird X2's (only bright green) are nearly 1/2 price at $79.99

I assume they're clearing out stock due to the X3 being launched but currently not available on Amazon.

Crucial 750GB SSD - $155.60 NZD delivered - Choice Cheapies

Samsung 850 Evo 500GB SSD + Watchdogs 2 download code - $200.74 NZD delivered - Choice Cheapies

I think those prices are without using the Choice Cheapies referral codes. The Watchdogs 2 code is listed on the SSD product page, have a read of Choice Cheapies for info regarding redemption.

Withings scales, activity trackers on Amazon. I personally use the Withings Activite (not the Pop or Steel, so not discounted) and it's brilliant - a watch/activity tracker.
