Hi All,

For the majority of this year I have been using the epg xml file from www.managemyhome.co.nz or desktop-1.no-ip.org/epgmce.htm

For the past two weeks the site has been down.... and I am really missing my program guide data.

Does anyone know what has happened to this site?

Can you not look up the domain owner and ask them (who is)

The domain is expired:

query_datetime: 2006-12-14T21:29:56+13:00
domain_name: managemyhome.co.nz
query_status: 210 PendingRelease
domain_dateregistered: 2005-11-15T08:37:19+13:00
domain_datebilleduntil: 2006-11-15T08:37:19+13:00
domain_datelastmodified: 2006-11-15T23:48:38+13:00
domain_datecancelled: 2006-11-15T23:48:38+13:00

The other domain you pointed out is a service that points to dynamic IP addresses or sites without a domain - probably hosted from home, and as such not reliable...

Out of luck I'd say.

I noticed this as well so I decided to set up XMLTVNZ, it was actually pretty easy and now it works seamlessly, the instructions to set up are at the following link.

I would second the recommendation to use XMLTVNZ directly. I don't use MCE but from memory I recall that the managemyhome site used XMLTVNZ to grab the listings and then applied whatever transformation necessary to be able to load the data into MCE. The loss of the site just means you have to do it yourself which from what I have read, isn't hard.  I use XMLTVNZ all the time to grab programming data for gbpvr and it works with no problems about 99.9% of the time. Problems only occur when a network web site changes or there is less than 5 days data for a particular channel

It may not surprise me if there were legal reasons why the site has gone. Most sites in NZ hosting xmltv data have all encountered this issue as they are effictely hosting copyright information. By running xlmtvnz on your own PC you're effectively grabbing the data yourself and legally this could be seen as no different to accessing the sky website yourself.
