I just just built my new media centre with a dvtb card but the wmc guide is only displaying a couple of hours worth of listings for most channels. Is there a hidden setting i need to change to capture more guide listings.

Im hoping i can just use the freeview guide data rather than have to add another epg.

Thoughts on this?

The terrestrial guide is only for a few days (usually more than a few hours). It might update by itself, but it won't be great. Use EPG collector. This link will get you started: http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=126&topicid=116670

It can output directly to WMC, but Big Screen EPG is recommended and I use that for importing. Set up a scheduled task and the guides will get downloaded automatically. The hardest part is configuring EPG collector for your local frequencies. That took me a while so if you get stuck just send me a message and I'll see if I can help.

This works just like the regular in-built guide, but is for at least a week ahead.

As above, Freeview HD (Terrestrial) has TWO EPGs. One lists the current plus next program (sometimes a couple more) and the other is in MHEG5 format, which Windows Media Center doesn't understand.

Use the EPG Collector program (developed by a couple of Geekzone users) to collect the EPG for eight days and load in your media center. Put it on a schedule and all is done.

You don't need the Big Screen EPG as the EPG Collector will automatically load the EPG into media center, load movie and TV series descriptions and posters all for free.
