Like title

Looking to buya new TV during labour day weekend. Wanting to spend approx $1000, the KDL-42W670A is looking quite good and currently under a grand at most places. Thoughts?

Or any other tvs you guys will recommend.

Tv is mostly for ps3(fifa and CoD) and blu ray movies

Nice picture, PITA wall bracket arrangement though.
It must be used with the in-built bracket / pedestal, and that NEEDS to be attached to a stud and a dwang to ensure it stays up on the wall.

We just got the Samsung F6400 (42") they threw in a bluetooth keyboard and camera and we couldn't be happier. Lovin the TVNZ on-demand app as well as the other smart services. Primo picture (100hz model) and sound is pretty good for internal speakers. Was about $1200 from memory but they may be a bit cheaper by now.

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

I would strongly advise you to compare it with Panasonic E series 42" model, or maybe even Samsung, and just see which picture you like better.

Yea i saw the TH-L39EV6Z, looks quite good but 3" smaller, looks like a good tv. The 42" is a bit out of my price range but come labour day weekend hopefully it drops a bit

Ive been trying real hard to find a review on the Bravia 42W670A, but i cant find anything at all.

Its a pretty sweet, tv but the price range is just above what i have.

settled on the KDL42W670A based picture quality over others, samsung came close as its a great smart tv and has many apps but PQ is better on thr Sony. Good guys have it for $947, pretty cheap

I bought the TH-L39EV6Z for $777 but now it's back up to around $1000, it's a got a great picture. The browser doesn't play flash video, so no 'on demand' or YouTube. I love being able watch media off my laptop via wifi. Love the app where you can just flick media from your phone straight to the tv. The ability to play mkv files is a big bonus!!!
