From my EPGCollector log this morning (yes I know I'm still using an old version but I don't know if that could be the problem but it doesn't make sense to me either way... I will update it later today (time permitting) to see)

As you can see the start date is 17/10/2013 & the end date is 25/10/2013 & from the way I see it that data range just shouldn't be available today?? But if I check the EPG on my Freeview capable TV it has all the data for the whole week (which I thought was the same data that EPGCollector grabs??)

I thought I was forced to upgrade a long while back because the old version (3.x) stopped working...

Are sure you're not pulling data from somewhere else too.

I was seeing this in Christchurch Sugarloaf with 4.1 FP15,
I changed frequency to 578 mhz instead of 562 and all is good again.

Excellent thank you :)

Changing from 570mhz to 586mhz for Wairarapa (Popoiti) (still using EPGCollector 3.2 so it does still works) & from the log

09:49:38:156 Station:
The Shopping Cha (8746,30,1304)
Start: 23/10/2013 12:00:00 a.m. End: 31/10/2013 12:00:00 a.m.
Records: 23 Overlaps: 0 Gaps: 0

plus all the others look fine as well.....

I wonder why 570 still has almost week old data on it??? weird eh??

There's almost certainly something broadcast that tells the Freeview box which frequency is carrying the up to date EPG.

Maybe it swapped a week or so ago and the broadcasters just let it expire.

Noticed a similar problem here in Auckland tonight. Thanks for the hint.

Changed the frequency I was using from 562000 to 530000 seems to have done the trick.

Yep, checked mine tonight too, similar thing, EPG only had 2 days of data left. Change frequency, good to go.

Assuming you're using a mildly up to date version of EPGCollector. Open EPGCenter (the management program), open your ini file with it, and select a different frequency.

Are you sure?

What software are you using? perhaps the EPG data isn't properly mapped to the channel any more.

I think you are onto it. I am looking at this now. Using NPVR. Only just fixed the epg so this is the next step.
Thanks for your reply

Got it sussed now. Needed to remap.
I spent an hour last night researching freeview for notification of changes. No info!. It was only hear that I got the reason for the problem.
They just change their mind with no notification or info.

Freeview probably don't need to notify anybody.

As I said above, the data they broadcast will probably automatically switch a Freeview box.

All Freeview branded products meet the Freeview standards, and will have no issues with the change.

As users of custom solutions that don't meet the Freeview standards, we're on our own.
