Every time i collect data an error box pops up saying wmcutility win8 has stopped working

Looks like I need to generate a Win 8.1 version of that utility.

To do that I need the files from the directory that has mcepg.dll in it.

That's normally Windows/ehome. Can you zip up the contents of that directory, upload it somewhere and post the link.

I've created a generic version of WMCUtility that should work on any version of Windows.

However I can only test it on Win7. Could you install it and give it a go on Win 8.1?

Microsoft has introduced a new Win API in 8.1 for dealing with version numbering but the current .Net hasn't been updated to use it.

That's why Win 8.1 reports itself as the same version number as Win 8.0 when an app is using .Net (which EPGC does).
