hi all,
i have been using a splitter that would only pass power on one port and today changed to one that passes power on both. the sky set top box will work when plugged into either but the dvbs card will only work when the sky is passing power to the lnb so i am still unable to watch freeview via my pc without the set top box turned on. can someone please help?!

Sounds to me that either your PC card is not providing any supply to the LNB , or is still set on Vpol that would mean it would see nothing if the Sky box is off, or is overriden if the PC card and Sky box is on.

So check the setup of the PC card and ensure its on Hpol.

Cyril
