Hi people, awesome forum. I would like ideas to hooking up the following components with the best quality and so everything can be used separately or together.
AX100 projector = hdmi in, component in
SR8500 receiver = 2 dvi in 1 out, 4 component in 1 out
LA46S81bx  lcd tv =  1 hdmi in, 2 component in
Sky stb =  1 component out
Freeview stb = 1 component out
dmr eh55  dvd =  scart in 1 component out

Would like sky, freeview or dvd on tv or projector
Would like tv to display dvd or sky or freeview without receiver on.

Is this even possible and if it is what cables and/or splitters do I need.

Thanks for your time, at the moment I have to unplug and plug in things to get them to work.

All help greatly appreciated

Mark

If you hadn't thrown in the requirement for use of TV wihout the reciever on, it would have been reasonably simple to do. However, the only way you are going to be able to do it is with a dedicated AV switchbox which supports COAX/Optical for digital audio and component/HDMI for video. Which seem to be a little redundant as your AV receiver would do basically the same job... -shrugs-

I thought that may be the only way. If I put the sky, freeview and dvd into the component in on the receiver and split the component output to the projector and lcd will this be the best way?

Yes, unless the receiver can output your component inputs via the dvi/hdmi output, but I doubt it can.
