The Epson TW5200 projector is about 1 month old, lamp hour is under 30 hours, I connected it with Onkyo TX636 receiver throught the main HDMI output.
When I play blu-ray disc, it randomly showing the picture I attached, I have to turn off everything and restart them to have normal image output. Does anyone know what could cause this issue?
Don't feed it via the Onkyo? You could try feeding the hdmi direct to the projector, and then the audio separately to the onkyo, bypassing it for hdmi use. What cables / types are you using to feed everything. Are they all pushed in properly?
Some models of Onkyo receivers are well known to have hdmi issues.
Failing that, if it's one month old then take it back to where you got it from?
I'm guessing, but it looks like a difference in the Color Space settings between the two devices to me (probably confounded by the receiver in the middle). I suspect that the projector is trying to render a YCbCr image as if it were sRGB.
They should auto-negotiate, but that's obviously not working so manually make sure the Color Space settings match between all the devices.
As per Jaxson, remove the amp from the setup and see if it improves. Then, you'll know that you've either got a faulty amp, or HDMI cable. If it persists, the issue will sit with the BluRay player or projector. Then you'll need to check the settings on both... and go from there.
