Hi all,

When watching TV and viewing the EPG information (not through the full-screen EPG, just the one you access with the 'i' button), I only intermittently get the correct info.

It seems to vary from channel to channel, but I often have 'No event information' displayed.

I get this even with 100% signal strength.

If I use the full-screen EPG it seems fine.

I have the latest version of the firmware.

Any idea's what may be causing this?

Is it just a crap STB?
Is there something other than signal strength that I should check?

Cheers,

Dan

As its a certfied box if you ring FreeView they might shed some light as they support their mheg5 EPG application. From my perspective with only the basic (but quite sufficient) EIT EPG it works just fine.

It sounds like his MHEG-5 EPG is working, it is the EIT one that isn't. As freeview only officially support the MHEG-5 epg then I doubt he will get very far with them.

I'm surprised that the EIT epg is still accessible on the Zinwell STB.

Hi there,

I also have had this issue on my Zinwell STB.

Go into Menu -> System Configuration -> Country Setup -> then change City Name to "All Free Channels".

Since I did this, the i button for Now/Next always works, and the EPG icon always appears on the info bar when channels are changed, where as it was spasmodic when I had my region set.

Cheers
Dean
