So just picked up an old Sony STR-D1090 amplifier as I originally wanted it for parts for my STR-D365.

But the amp looks in good nick the only issue is that it looks like it has gone into protection mode. Now I have the service manual with schematics and all but can't figure out where to look next. I have reflowed all the power transistors, and checked them for shorts. I have also disconnected the speaker terminals and it still will not turn on.

Now the unit is flashing the standby light. To clarify- Its flashing the light above the tape 2 monitor button. When I plug the unit in I don't hear the relays  turn on, and the display never powers up.

Any direction would be helpful.
