Hi there,

I need help figuring out how much I can get for this 50" plasma TV that is still in excellent condition and was used until last week, now it's just too big for the current location. Back in the day it was top of the line and worth $17,000. Pioneer is a good brand but i don't know how much I can ask for it now.

Suggestions??

You'll probably be lucky if you get a couple of hundred bucks for it now a days

so no HDMI not full HD it's also a 12 year old plasma so no guarantee it's going to last much longer

With 50" units down to between sub $1000 to $1500 and your panel only 768 and not 1080p/I then realistically at most $150 -$200

You're better off using is as a garage TV...

which disappeared from later pioneers.

but it is early generation and no hdmi so not worth much.

maybe $100-150

If it softens the blow, I had one of those 32" widescreen LG CRTs that cost about $4K, was the business at the time, when we moved recently I had to take it to the dump and PAY THEM to allow me to get rid of it.

With no 1080p, no HDMI, no FreeView, and 12 years old it is pretty much worthless as far as resale goes unfortunately. I've twice bought high-end TVs that I've subsequently sold at a huge loss, just par for the course with TVs.

I'd just stick it on TradeMe with $1 reserve.
