Hi Everyone,

I just purchased a 65inch Sony Tv and I'm stumped as to how I can change the region so i have more variety of apps ( like Hulu etc ).

I know in the states they have lot more for this model , I already have a couple tv's in the house connected to Apple tv modems and I use Getflix to view Hulu etc. Has anyone else got this model : https://www.noelleeming.co.nz/shop/all-televisions-online/sony-kdl65w850c-65-full-high-definition-3d-smart-led-with-andriod-tv/prod139059.html and changed the region ?

In the network settings I cant see where to change the DnS , I've changed the dns setting on my router to suit get flix settings and it also set to usa.

I've googled this also and all I get is options to change the older models - Any help would be great!

From speaking to somebody at the launch I don't believe there is. My only suggestion would be a full factory reset over a VPN to see if making the TV think it's in the USA (for example) will fool Android into giving you access to the US app store.

Like all TV brands apps are regional.

To get an android device to think it is in another area, you seem to have to clear the data and cache in the google play store app, change where play.google.com thinks it is ( dns4me let's you put a custom redirect to usa), then start google play up.
It should present the USA market. Download/install your apps. Once done, repeat, but set google play back (or just remove redirects) so it thinks it's back 'home'.

Probably something similar needs to happen on your tv.
