Your LG Smart TV should have YouTube Netflix and Hulu pre-installed. If you are talking about New Zealand content (TV One, etc), then no - and neither will a dedicated box.

Yeah it does have those apps installed,i was at a friends place yesterday and he has a raspberry pi box and is able to you content from all over the web via apps, he could even get Bathurst coverage so wondered if my smart TV would do the same.

The only TV brand in New Zealand that has rights to Sky TV content (Neon, Fan Pass) is Samsung.

The new Samsung TV's, in addition to Netflix and Lightbox also have the Neon and Fan Pass apps installed as well. Other TV brands do not.  I almost purchased a Samsung TV because of this, but ended up going with an LG myself - the picture just seemed better.

Also, the Web Browser in Smart TV's do not allow for video content to be played, to prevent becoming part of the illegal streaming problem. Stupid I know, because you can just plug in another device (laptop, mini PC, Pi) and watch it this way. However they have to be seen as being part of the solution and not part of the problem.

Your best bet is to find something like this and plug directly into your TV to play things that the native apps on your TV can't do:
