I have a 32" veon tv with really poor sound quality, which becomes cracked even when the volume is only at a reasonable level. I wish to connect my logitech speaker set, which just has an aux currently for connecting to phones etc, but i have no idea how to connect the speakers to the TV. I have attached a photo of the back of the TV, showing the ports available. All help is appreciated, thanks

Those all look like input ports to me. Your TV may not have anything for audio out. Someone else with experience of Veons may know more.

What's the "PC" socket say next to it? Are the top right of pic sockets audio in or out? (I'm guessing in)

If you don't have a headphone socket or audio out (optical or otherwise) you could be out of luck.

Next to PC it says audio (PC- AUDIO) and yeah the top right are AV in

Most TV's made over the last ~10 years or so don't have any form of audio output. It doesn't look like your TV does, so there is nothing you can do short of pulling it apart.

My last 2 have both had optical out. 2013 LG 50" and 2015 Sony 55" 4K. And my cheap 24" 1080p has a headphone socket.

Its possible that it has ARC (Audio return channel). I don't know the TV, so can't say for sure.

Coax out on them works, into a cheap DAC which you can power off the TV's otherwise useless USB ports, that will give you a fixed RCA out to run into whatever you like.

The one labelled coax may well be digital coax out. You'll need a digital to analogue converter that accepts digital coax input and outputs to whatever you need for your speakers (left and right RCAs? 3.5mm?)

Depending on what you use for input (I'm guessing whatever is plugged in to HDMI3?), you could also see if that either outputs audio directly, or else use an audio stripper box to decode the sound from HDMI and send it somewhere else.

For a 32 inch Veon though, you may be better off just buying a new TV.

I've done this too. "Honey, I checked with Geekzone and @PeterReader said the only reasonable thing to do was to buy a new [X]".

Perhaps you have a techie friend who could intercept the speakers, connect 2 impedance matching transformers and connect your logitech speakers?

All 3 TV's in our house have headphone output, 2 are well under 10 years old..... might be more of certain brands don't bother, rather than the age.

Long story short - buy a cheap DAC.

Connect via digital coaxial cable.

Hope that nothing you're trying to play is in Dolby or DTS.

Failing that, buy a soundbar with a digital coaxial input.
