Hi Team,

I have finally given up on all things android box like for Living Room TV. Everything I need can be done on my Windows10 laptop, but I dont want to keep plugging it into the TV. So am thinking the best solution (for me) is a tiny Win10 PC into the TV.

Been trying to sort out whats best option here. There seems to be a lot of overseas sellers now on TM amd im not sure where to start.

I want something like my laptop that boots to WIN10 FAST! on SSD and will handle 1080P and maybe 4k later.

All the usual netflix lightbox neon apps etc etc.

Anyone have suggestions where to start?

Thanks

Brian

Have you considered grabbing a Chromecast? They're excellent.

Yeah Ive been looking at a chromecast, but I have had so my "Almost but not quite" with Android boxes I am hesitant....

Things that put me off: (But I am happy to be proven wrong)

a. I use PIA to watch rugbypass.com not sure that I can cast this from my laptop to the Chromecast under the PIA VPN? Does that work?

b. I use my Samsung Home theater to listen to music through spotify, this only connects with a AUX headphone jack which is not on a chromecast?

Thanks

Bri

For Rugbypass it is very simple to get set up with something a bit different. I'd recommend taking a look at the private forums (of which I've added you to) and take a look at the provider that gets mentioned the most. It also has full Chromecast support.

For the Samsung Home Theater if this is connected via your TV you can cast music to it no problems. It still honestly seems like the Chromecast is the best and least troublesome option for you.

Edit: The other option is you can pick up a Chromecast Audio also. Combined it is less than the cost of a NUC by a long shot.

I just tried turning on my PIA VPN to Singapore and then streamed a YouTube video to my Chromecast and it works. So yes you could probably cast the tab with RugbyPass on to your Chromecast.

And as MichaelMurfy said above, a Chromecast Audio will most likely help with your b) issue.
