Hi all, I'm about to set up Netflix devices, these would be Xiaomi mi TV 4 and Chrome cast. I have no doubt of using Chrome cast in NZ but, not sure about Xiaomi mi TV. I know there are heaps of options for TV, but when I see the mi TV, it was like a must buy-product, non-negotiable. If anyone has experience of using Xiaomi TV in NZ, can I pick your brain such as troubles you have had? And how did you ship the product to NZ?

Thank you in advance.

Have a look at the existing thread: https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=84&topicid=204857

Looks like that thread is for the Mi Box .. although I didn't read through all 11 pages.

This thread is about the Mi TV 4  - http://www.mi.com/en/mitv/

I have a few Xiaomi products and they get a lot of attention in china and India but not sure I would import something so large and expensive.

looks like they are pretty cost effective though - http://bit.ly/2vl3SRF

I have a chinese market MiBox and Mi NoteBook Air 13.3, both great devices in function and perceived build quality, MiBox cannot easily be brought into the google world full stop so no 4k Netflix, Air required a full reinstall on Multi-language windows 10 due to chinese only W10 OS but otherwise is a thing of beauty

If this TV is crippled with a non google supported chinese domestic market software it could limit its usefulness

Thanks michaelmurfy.

The thread seems like about mibox. What I want to have is the mi tv 4; http://www.mi.com/en/mitv4/

A 65" UHD tv just under 2K usd, great isn't it?

How are you planning to have it shipped? I would any day prefer Mi Box 3S instead of Chrome Cast. It has built in Chrome cast plus remote plus other great benefits.

At the website I linked they will ship for NZD$88. Not bad cost from China.
