Hi there, this may be a bit off topic but I need some help with my Logitech Harmony 525 remote regarding certain Sky buttons. On our sky remote there is the little "+" button which allows you to search for a future program in the electronic guide. Is there any way of setting the Harmony remote to know this function?

Sorry can't help you but you might be able to help me.  What is the reliablility like with your logitech harmony remote?  I'm looking at getting a remote to control my tv, dvd & sky (& My SkyHD when its launched) from another room.  I've been told that non-wired set-up can be unreliable.  Would you recommend the logitech harmony remote?

First off, the Harmony remotes are great, i have a 785 model and it's been flawless since day one, almost a year ago.

Secondly, the harmony remotes can learn custom IR signals if you want. So if in the setup program for the Harmony remote you don't have the '+' button you mention you can tell the remote to learn a new IR command.

First check that the Sky Box device has the '+' button available. Load up the Harmony software, go to the device and then to the settings button on the device. then select the 'Customize Buttons' option and click next down the bottom right. Now you should be able to see if the remote has the option for using the '+' symbol. If it's not there then you need to do the following to customize a new button.

You plug the remote in to the computer and get to the devices tab on the harmoney software. Then on the Sky Box device you should have set up there is a "Learn IR" button. From there just follow the instructions and away you go.

The logitech forums are a good place for more specific questions if we can't help you here.

Highly recommend it! I have H880, I would be happy to upgrade to Harmony One too but not a top priority. 525 is a good basic/entry programmable multi-remote with HUGE device database online. 780 series is a good midrange. They all do the same thing, so you'll basically paying for form and onscreen display. Any model is good as they all are the same.

Have a read at my review on H880.
