Hi guys,

I'm trying to connect sky to a projector through VGA. I am going for:

SKY -> SCART to Component (Male) -> Component video coupler -> Component (Male) to VGA -> PROJECTOR.

My problem is that I can't source a component video coupler in NZ (here is a link to one in the United States http://www.cablestogo.com/product.asp?cat%5fid=102&sku=40648).

So I am asking anyone out there that would know where I can find a component video coupler, or alternatively a SCART to Component (Female) or Component (Female) to VGA.

Any other suggestions about how to connect sky to a projector through VGA would be appreciated.

Here are links to the projector I have and the other cables I eluded to:
Projector http://www.viewsonic.com/products/projectors/pj503d/
SCART to Component (Male) http://www.freeviewshop.co.nz/scart-component-video-audio-cable-p-332.html
Component (Male to VGA) http://www.rapalloav.co.nz/products.php?viewproduct=5&cat=1&sub=14&detailid=24

Thanks in advance.

Josh

Rca joiners here:  Dick Smith Electronics RCA Joiners

I don't know if you can do this though. You may need a converter box unless your projector accepts a component signal via VGA.(D-Sub)

Actually looking at the projector specs, that looks to be the case ie accepts component via D-Sub ...my old InFocus projector was the same so looks like you're on the right track.

Jaycar also have the same joiner, part PA3564, the D-Sub to RCA cable you can get from ebay, try Selbys, this is a 3m one you will also find options up to 10m. I regularly get cables from Selbys, they ship to NZ with no issues.

Found an old D-Sub to component (female) cable at home. Happy to chuck it in the mail to you if you give me an e-mail. Save you buying 2 parts.
