Hi all

Am thinking of upgrading my HTPC. Would love to keep it small. Cannot pick up DVB-T, so stuck with DVB-S. Will also be used for DVD playback (not blueray), a media server, and torrent machine.

Planning on a Antec NSK2480 MicroATX Case and a Asustek M3N78-EM board.

To run two DVB-S cards and another PCI card will require three PCI slots, which the board doesn't have.

All dual DVB-S cards are too expensive (thinking BlackGold here)

Question - is there a DVB-S PCIe card around that is not so feature packed as to make it expensive?

Yeah... I'd also like to see a dual DVB-S card too ...like the Nova-T-500, but satellite.
Please let us know if you find anything

You should be able to import a Pinnacle PCTV dual DVB-S PCI card for around $200-250. I was looking at ordering one last year but then decided to go with a different setup.

Got a reply - order from the website. Cards are $US800 each before postage. Yikes. Must be targetted at the boutique market.

From the looks of their marketing/website it would appear that you may get some management software to go with your card. Which is probably where the additional costs come from.

...so has the hauppauge nova-t-500, HVR-2200, HVR-3000(3 tuners), HVR-4000(4 tuners!!!)... all ranging from ~$170 to ~$350 NZ
