Ok, new Full LCD LG monitor connected to the PC with DVI
PS3 also connected to the monitor with HDMI running 1080P.

Worked perfectly. After one week the HDMI completely dies and just gave noise, but the PC on DVI was fine.
I connected the PS3 to my Plasma TV with the HDMI cable [which used to work %100 before] and same problem.

Bought a new cable, everything was fine until exactly a week later and now the same problem.

Is there any chance that the cables were getting damaged by all the surrounding eqipment up next to my PC [they run along side it and the speakers and optical sound cables, power cabkes etc etc]?
Or is this a problem with cheaper cables from surplus tronics running 1080P?

Or is likely a PS3/monitor problem, where the HDMI connection is causing the cables to bomb out?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

BTW component works perfectly. Im not using it though as the monitor does not support component

first i would make sure the cable is faulty by just pluggin it into something else.

on the other hand i have seen many cheap cables die after few months. (noisy picture, unconsistant picture)

One cable was dead, the second one is actually Ok according to an HDMI lead tester I recently picked up from Jay car electronics..................
Though that same cable that 'works' is not working all the time on other devices including my LCD TV downstairs with a friends or my PS3..........
