Comskip

Only problem is H.264 content takes a great deal of resourses to process and takes a long time. MPEG2 stuff is very quick.

Does comskip use hardware accelleration? Can't the nvidia cards decode 2 h.264 at the same time?

Comskip doesn't hardware accelerate and takes AGES - you have to donate to get the h264 version.
Does anyone have a good config file for it, and good logo files to use? My logo files never create properly (only has half the logo recognizable).

Actually, does someone have a good method for doing the scan and cut all in one go? Havent managed to get it working.

I've never had mine working properly, I only get about an 80% success rate in commercials matching. To get past the problem with the resource hogging I use 4TheRecord for my scheduling (I use MediaPortal for the frontend), it allows you to schedule tasks to run on your recordings at a later time. So all my recorded programs have comskip run on them at 3am the following morning. It does mean than commercial free versions of my shows aren't available at the next day, but I don't get any slowdown due to comskip running in primetime.
