Hey

Just went out and bought a pioneer vsx-920 and im trying to set up the remote to control everything, so far ive been having good luck but I cannot get the sky to work

Has any one got this working , if so what code did you use?

I have tried manual learning with the pioneer remote, but that doesnt seem to work either.

There may be nothing else I can do, but thought id try and see if any one else has had this issue before I give up

Thanks

As I had it explained to me the Mysky remote operates slightly differently to standard IR remotes. That is why some IR extenders struggle to work properly with it. Something to do with a double-data rate (experts will no doubt confirm).

So the harmony remotes can get around this? but a standard pioneer remote will never work or is there something I can do to make it work do you think?

Both the Harmony 1000i and 1100i operate the Mysky successfully.  I assume other harmonys will as well.  It may be that your Receiver remote's learning capability is only capable of simple codes.
