Hi Team. I'm after some advice on a new receiver.

This is my current setup:

Amp: Pioneer VSX-515
Fronts: Warfedale Crystal CR40's
Rears: Warfedale WH 1.1's
Sub: Wharfedale Powercube 12+

I have some spare cash and want to replace the receiver for one with HDMI inputs.

Connecting to the receiver is a Panasonic THP50V20Z TV, a Panasonic BD player which model no. I can't remember right now and an Apple TV.

Budget is under $1,000.00.

What are you thoughts given my budget and what I will be connecting?

Cheers for the help :)

Oh, forgot to add I like the Pioneer for it's MCACC setup, so another Pioneer or brand with similar easy setup would be great.

Personally I'd keep your receiver and opt for some newer front speakers.

Unless you need features like HD audio etc.

I've had the crystals and the higher quality Diamond or equivalent other manufacture speaker offering really does make a good improvement.

The new Pioneer amps leave me cold... until you get to their higher end models.
A VSX821 could be the right amp for you though.
However, I do recommend new front speakers too - they'll make a massive difference. There's every chance you'll be able to pick up a set of Diamond 10.6 for around a grand if you go hunting...
