Hi guys,

I've been a long time lurker on these forums and found some very useful articles in the past but this is my first post.

I was wondering if someone might be able to help me?

For the past week I've been getting a message in Windows Media Center saying that from March 13th I would need to re-tune my TV tuner.

My location is Wellington.

I checked the http://www.rsm.govt.nz/cms/policy-and-planning/projects/digital-terrestrial-television-frequency-restacking/timing-and-channel-information website which states that Wellington changes wouldn't be happening until June but I decided to re-tune my TV tuner anyway in order to get rid of the message (which was successful) but now for some reason my EPG is no longer updating.

I am currently using  EPG center to generate my XMTV file (this appears to still be working correctly and exiting with a code 0) and using Big Screen EPG to import the data into Media Center which also appears to be working correctly but Windows Media Center is no longer showing the scheduled programs, only now and next.

Is anyone else having this issue or could anyone point me in the right direction of where I may be going wrong?

Thanks,
Viduus.

I have a similar setup, and I am in Wellington. I have just run the batch I have here with EPG Collector + Big Screen EPG and it loaded all entries, no problem.

Are you getting data from Mt Kaukau at 69000?

Thanks for the quick reply.

I have not had any success with Mt Kaukau 690000 for the past 9-10 months as it seemed when I ran EPG Center it would only locate now and next but not scheduled.

About the time this happened I changed my frequency to 706000  which worked fin until today. I have since tried both 690000 (still the same issue as above) and have just tried 778000 which like 706000 seems to work but still no data has been generated in Windows Media Center.

Sounds like MC is loading now/next EIT data against the retuned channels while BSEPG is loading the MHEG5 EPG Centre data against the old channels which you can no longer see.

You should open Big Screen EPG and reset Media Center, then uncheck the option for Media Center to load the EPG by itself from the broadcast.

I'm in Johnsonville, 690000 works fine out of Mt Kaukau for me.

I'm in Aotea but for some reason my tuner just does not like 690000.

Resetting Media Center seems to have corrected the issue.

Greatly appreciate the help Freitasm and SJB, now it's back to forum lurking for me.
