JB are doing them for 1350, they look so damn good compared to the other TV's (even the 40" looked great compared to the others)

very tempted to get this unless someone can recommend a better TV for less...

whats the difference between this and the 6600? the sales guy said something about scan speed but dont know...

any suggestions???

To me, they're an example of style over substance...
The picture will look very sharp when playing super colourful BluRay's - but it struggles with most other things. Motion, lower quality footage, detail in dark shots etc etc.

the tv will be hooked up to an onkyo tsxr608 amp and ill run everything through that to the TV, so will get the onkyo to upscale evrything and pass it to the tv via hdmi.
My HTPC may be fed direct to the tv via hdmi.

any suggestions on another 2D LED LCD thats better bang for buck than a 46d6000??

any suggestions on how to test the TV in store? any test files i could download to a USB and play on the TV to test it?

I just picked up the 40" for $980 to use in the family room. It's a great little tv once you turn all the rubbish off.

I'm running it off a HTPC.

Can't comment on the differences, but I bought the 40" 6000 model last week, and it's very nice for the price (150 flybuys points, $999, 3d glasses included). Picture quality is excellent for the price as far as I'm concerned. One thing I think happens is the black levels vary by content. Not a big fan of this cheat but get a plasma if you don't like it.

Audio is sufficient, who'd expect hifi from slim line speakers anyway? External speakers is the solution.

The online services are a bit tragic, but I'm not using that anyway.

I've ordered an ultrathin wall mount, so this is going to look like a picture frame hanging on the wall when finished.

I don't see how tv's can get cheaper. Perhaps the improvements on existing technology has matured, and you'll need to wait for OLED or something to get better .

Yes, it's available for $1,328.

But plasmas aren't ideal for heavy use as a computer monitor, if that was the idea.

about half an hour too late.

ok so no worries... Noels doesnt have a comparible TV cheaper... they have the higher spec ones at a (much) higher price.
so im still happy.

No details as yet , but if they are the same style as the ones just released in the US , apparently the LED's are almost 4" deep

Pricing but next to no specs or pictures...
'Special order' only - I don't think that's going to win them any sales quite yet.
