Hi everyone,

I have just had a new fiber connection installed and purchased an ASUS RT-AC66U dual band router. The telecom provided modem/router was not coping with running my Sonos music system and I wanted to future proof the household with growing children beginning to run more and more devices. I have no idea how to get the AC66 up and running. I presume I have to connect the WAN port directly to the optical network terminal (this is not covered in the setup instructions, nor could I find anything on the ASUS support pages). After that I understand that settings have to be changed or provided, but have found that to be a nightmare. I see from the fourms there has been discussion around this router before so I'm sorry if this is repetitive but I could not find any clear directions on how to get the AC66 up and running.

Can any one help with an idiots guide to setting this router up please?

You connect the router to the supplied ONT.

I think you better off posting this problem in the correct forum (not introductions)
