Hi Everyone,

I'm new around here so just clip me behind the ear if I do something dumb :).

I'm a geek from way back - being raised on SuperCar, Fireball XL5, Stingray, Star Trek TOS, etc etc (all in their original runs, so yes I am ancient :))

I got into 'putes in the early 80's and cut my teeth on the Commodore PET, and the Sinclair ZX80 (predecessor to the ZX81 for those of you old enough to remember the ZX81).  I was, and still am, an avid Amiga fan (I have four or five around the place, including an original Amiga 1000 with SideCar! :)).

I've pretty much been in IT on the work front since the mid 80's, and see myself remaining there until retirement and beyond :).

Like many others, I find a lot of my Google search results leading me here, so I thought it might be time to join you all :).

Despite being on the wrong side of the half-century bracket, I'm still a keen gamer (keen != Good :) ) and am an intermittently active member of The Older Gamers community.

Well that's probably enough for now :)  Nice to be here, and thanks for such a useful resource :)

Cheers,

Johnno.
