Greetings, all. My name is Jeremy Schmitt and I am a geek.

I'm a misplaced Yank here in Invercargill, New Zealand. I'm the Service Technician for a local communications firm, but that encompasses a whole range of titles: Solder Jockey, Walking User Manual (read: Tech Support Operator), IT/Telecomms professional, Service Coordinator, etc.

I'm US Army trained in Satellite Communications operations, IT/Telecomms installation, and Microwave Communications servicing. Somehow in New Zealand, that translated to Motorola Cellular repair (back in the wonderful days of AMPS technology), and now this.

I'm 29 (too-rapidly approaching 30), married with two step-kids.

I'm addicted to Halo 1/2 and Splinter Cell 1/2/3 on XBOX and World of Warcraft on PC. I've got two WoW accounts so we can play on both home computers at the same time.

I am saving up so I can buy a t-shirt that says "No, I will not fix your computer" so that friends and family will finally leave me alone.

I am a firm believer in taking away e-mail access from anyone who calls me telling me that they infected their PC with a virus and they want me to clean it up.

That's me in a nutshell.

Welcome and yes I also want one of those TShirts. My brother in-law is a builder and do you think I can get him to do some work for me - no chance. I knew I should have got a commitment out of him before I rebuilt his PC. Doh!

Thanks for the welcome! I'm glad to see I'm not the only "E-mail Nazi" (title awarded me by my wife) around!

Hey - maybe GZ could introduce those t-shirts at the next dinner as well as the pens?
