DeKemp: THGTTG?
aha, which explains for the hump on the camel!
PS:
pricing for the latest new addition to the telecom market:
euro 5,00 to obtain the simm card, number porting is free.
call per minute euro 0,18 to land and cellular all providers day and night.
SMS euro 0,05 per message.
You can fill your prepay account from 5 upto 100 euro's.
Number never expires.
The concept has won numerous prices both on the payment scheme as well as on the 1-2-3 website.
I think it's the cheapest around and the most economical.
If you are short on cash just keep your balance low.
If you have an extra busy month add some more, can be done daily hourly even.
No GPRS no UMTS though.
UMTS flat rate fee euro 75 a month, PCMCIA card for free.
Lower GB's 45,00 or even 12,50 a month, pay extra as you overstep the download boundary.
Broadband Internet both through POTS and CableTV available.
from as low as euro 19,95/monthly 2Mb/512
I'm on a 24,95 2Mb/1Mb ADLS over ISDN
always on, Linux server eth0 on the ADSL, eth1 internal WiFi Switch total of 6 machines.
Plus the 9 ThinClients if I can get them to do something useful.
How Geekish is that in a Maisonette Flat.
The Server serves and does the Samba.
I'm a Developer so the WiFi goes to the daughter, the neigbhour's son and mother and occasionally my LapTop.
I use the hardwirerd 100mbs to work and to have the best link to the outside world helping others and publishing stuff.
Epistel, stopping again.

DeKemp:
Hi all,
G*Gling for HP T1010 I actually found an active thread dated april '06.
Now isn't that fun! Sharing interests is what it's all about.
I am a pre 50 (age not year of birth) Dutchman (The Netherlands that is).
Everything ever started with Sinclair ZX Spectrum.
Sharp MZK (CPM)
1984 IBM PC (yes working for a large international bank I actually got one from the first batch)
dual 5'4"FDD (F really being floppy)
Moving on to Mini S36 and Mainframe 3+ IBM's.
Hardwarewise I've seen the lot, from underdesk upto room filled watercooled with robot managed backups.
Softwarewise IBM/CICS DB2, hierarchical, network and relational DB's all flavors.
Geekwise a matching collection of legacy PC's Servers and Phones!! Car crazy.
Making things work (again) and keep them going sport and ambition.
Currently:
PhP, MySQL, Postgress, Oracle, Linux (Suse, freebsd), MS XP.
Development tools of choice: Clarion (less and less) CodeChargeStudio (recommended).
Biz applications development.
Well its almost becoming a book, let's stop here.
I hope and look forward to a mutualy fruitful stay at GeekZone.
Walter
