Hi All,

I'm not quite new, I've been lurking and all, posting a few things, mainly about Active Sync and Bluetooth. But that was back in de days when I had an iPAQ 2210.

I've sold my iPAQ 2210 and bought a T-Mobile MDA Vario, also known as the HTC Wizard, Wallaby etc..

This is definitely my new digital friend!

Currently I live in The Netherlands, but I hop that'll all change by the end of this year, because we're planning to move to New Zealand.
Which I think is so cool!

Well, that's all I can think of.

Cheers,

Anita

Wow... moving to New Zealand... great choice :-)

Welcome to Geekzone... we can help out with info about broadband and other Telecommunications choices if needed (though you may have a good idea already if you have been lurking a while).

Cool thanks!
Is it true that Vodafone is the only mobile provider in New Zealand?

No, quite untrue I assure you. The incumbent telco, Telecom New Zealand, operates a CDMA1X/EVDO network here, but is not compatible with GSM phones.

Hmm, okay...
I see..
Well, the main thing I pity is that there is no flat fee GPRS plan in NZ (at least I couldn't find one). I have a T-Mobile Flat Fee GPRS plan, only NZ$17,45 a month..

We've chosen Christchurch.

My main reason: 10 ski areas in the neighbourhood
My Bf's main reason: work.
LOL

ROFLMAO

Some examples:

The front of the iMate K Jam has a small iMate logo.
That has been silk-screen printed on the phone.

T-shirts are screenprinted.
Some coffeemugs are screenprinted

Most stickers are screenprinted.
I hope you get the idea ;-)

Uhnilt July 2006 you can sign up with either Vodafone or Telecom and get 1GB cellular data for NZ$49.

Vodafone uses UMTS and Telecom CDMA EV-DO. Telecom's network is faster, but not much roaming available for overseas trips (USA, Australia are ok).
