Hi
I am buying a laptop for gaming/school purposes.
It needs to be <1000, i7, 2gb graphics, 4-8gb of ram and any weight of 2.5 kg and below.
I am also going to buy it on boxing day for the best prices. I just currently want suggestions.
Thanks In advance.

Finding a gaming laptop with that spec below $1000 NZD is going to be very unlikely, if not impossible.

A desktop with that spec would cost more than that.

When I read your budget vs specs, I was all up in my face with like WTF.

You might need to revise your expectations I suspect. Either price up, or CPU and RAM down.

closest i could come up with for your budget is this

Asus R500VJ-SX053P 39.6 cm (15.6") LED Notebook - Intel Core i5 i5-3210M 2.50 GHz - 1366 x 768 HD Display - 4 GB RAM - 500 GB HDD - DVD-Writer - NVIDIA GeForce GT635M Graphics - Webcam - Genuine Windows 8 Professional - HDMI

About $1200 inc RRP

Have a look at the dell specials. http://www.dell.com/nz/p/popular-laptop-deals.aspx?c=nz&l=en&s=dhs&~ck=mn

But closest for your specs to your budget would be $1199.

yeah I find Dell has good value for money WHEN they have one of there sales on. Otherwise they tend to be a bit pricey for there decent gear.

$955.65 Cash Price is Excluding GST, Once you add gst you get $1098.99 For an extra $100 you get a faster processor, Double the Ram, more hard drive space, a fully english version of Windows.

I know I would be paying the little bit extra.
