My old faithful Toshiba laptop has come to the end of its time, so I'm now researching before I buy.
My needs are pretty much the basics - music / movies / photos and web surfing. I'm not a gamer. I do however spend some time using spreadsheets / and creating mediawiki pages - so a keyboard is a must.I travel alot - so weight and size matter to me in a latop / tablet.
I believe the max screen size i need is 14inch, thinking that most if not eveything connects to another screen or tv these days.
I use an android Samsung s3 - and love the android, so could be persuaded to go this way too given the right hardware is avaialble.
The two I currently am looking at:
http://www.samsung.com/nz/consumer/pc-peripherals/notebook-pc/tablet-pc/XE700T1C-A02AU
or
http://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/ASUS_TAICHI_21/
both are same specs to a point -
- 1.7GHz 3rd Gen Intel i5-3317U Processor
- 4GB RAM
- 128GB SSD Hard Drive
the big difference - samsung is $200nzd cheaper, and is nice as the screen completely detatches makign the tablet of course lighter.
I'd appreciates thoughts on these two hybrids - or suggestions for others to look at.
Cheers anna
