I'm looking at buying an Aus Laptop ASUS P2530UA-DM1274R  There seem to be differing opinions on whether or not this laptop supports wireless display.  I have an Asus Zenbook which definitely does support wireless display to Samsung smart TVs but the NZ distributor cant confirm that the P2530UA will do so.  The US ASUS website says the laptop has Widi support.

Does anyone have one of these laptops and if so can they check if the wireless option is available under Action Centre > Project. Better still, can they connect to their Samsung smart TV with it?  If you can answer this, I'll be eternally grateful.  Otherwise its off to HP

I'd be careful. Products with same model but differing part can be a pain. Websites often get it wrong. Coincidentally last time this caused me some headscratching was HPs many and varied 'stream' models.

If the Zenbook in your current configuration is powered by a 4th generation or later Intel Core processor with Intel HD graphics and you are running Windows 10 on it you should be fine. WiDi is no longer supported by Intel, Windows 10 supports Miracast only so it depends on the level of support for Miracast built in on your smart TV.

The differing opinions might be due to a unsupported combinations of CPU, WLAN regulatory model and discrete GPU.
